Khairil Anwar Abu Kassim is the Secretary General of ASEAN NCAP, one of ten NCAP’s in the world that encourage safer cars development in the market. He is also the former Head of Crash Safety Engineering Unit (CRASE) in MIROS, one of the leaders in vehicle safety area that help researchers & engineers to realize their full potential in the safety system. To date, he has been supervising and developing multiple International and local research and development grants and projects in MIROS with a total worth RM 20 Million.

Under Khairil’s leadership, ASEAN NCAP mission continually improves towards establishing a reliable independent consumer information for safer cars. More manufacturers have increased their vehicle safety capacity and ability as a result of safety rating and strategies implemented by the team. It is well accepted that to enter the ASEAN market, the minimum required rating is now 4 star which confidently translate to reduction of road fatality. MIROS has recognized his commitment by awarding him the Excellent Service Award in his first full service year in 2009 and 2016 and Most Impact Researcher Award in 2010. He has also received special awards for his dedicated work and commitment throughout his tenure.

Christopher Mason is the Deputy Technical Director of the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). He is responsible for the technical and functional management of the Advanced Manufacturing Division.

Prior to his current role, Christopher has held a number of senior management roles for Rolls-Royce Plc. Including Manufacturing Manager of Rolls-Royce’s High Pressure Turbine Blade Machining Facility and Civil Large Engine Assembly and Test. He led the operations team that assembled and tested the first Trent XWB production engines. He has held a number of engineering management roles in Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe for Rolls-Royce PLC and managed teams of up to 60 Engineers to design and implement new products and processes. Prior to his career at Rolls-Royce Christopher worked for Alcoa and programme managed new turbine blade manufacturing technology.

Christopher is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology and received is BEng(Hons) from the University of Hertfordshire and has co-authored a number of technical publications

Boon Choon Lim is the President of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in the Asia Pacific market outside of China. He holds an MBA degree from University of Strathclyde, UK and Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering (Hon) Degrees from National University of Singapore.

Boon Choon joined Hexagon in 2012, after spending more than 20 years in the process industry, where he served in various capacities leading the business in Distributed Control Systems, Transmitters, process analysers, PLCs and controllers. He was stationed in China from 1995-1997, and subsequently moved back to Singapore where he led businesses in Asia Pacific for several years.

Masayuki Kuba is the global technical leader for Cradle CFD Software. He also manages the development software. Kuba-san started his career Asahi Kasei Corporation, (formerly Asahi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd) as CAE engineer and worked on plant design and residential environment. Kuba-san has over 25 years CFD experience and holds Master degree from Kyoto University, Japan

Michel Pereme is the Director of Global Business Partners of Simufact, a Business Unit of MSC Software.
Michel started his career at Transvalor, a French material forming simulation company where he held various positions in Business Development and Marketing. During his time at Transvalor, he developed operations in Europe and Asia. he wrote and presented several technical papers at world class conferences such as International Forging Congress and AsiaForge. Subsequently, he started his own company as a Business Partner for US-based SFTC company, introducing DEFORM in the French speaking countries in Europe, and writing different articles in the French journal « La Forge ».

Over the past 3 years at Simufact, Michel has developed successfully the Channel Partner Operations in the EMEA region. Since February of this year, Michel has been promoted as a Director, Global Channel Business, bringing his 20-year experience in the field of material forming simulation to Simufact customers.

Clive Ford is an experienced mechanical engineer with over twenty years' applying numerical simulation in industry and consultancy practice. A focus has been in the application of advanced non-linear structural models to areas such as the modelling of manufacturing processes in the steel industry and stress analysis of industrial equipment. Since 2016 Clive has been the Director of C4D Pte Ltd based in Singapore, which provides advice on best practice in numerical simulation. In late 2016, C4D was appointed as the ASEAN representative by NAFEMS (the International Association For the Engineering Modelling, Analysis and Simulation Community). In this capacity Clive is working with them to develop their membership services in the region and support NAFEMS Professional Simulation Engineers certification. Previously Clive was the Manager of the Advanced Analysis Group for WorleyParsons' Singapore, responsible for developing its simulation consultancy business. Clive is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and also active with the IMechE Singapore Branch.

Tom works at the Centre of Excellence for Testing & Research of AVs – NTU (CETRAN), where he is developing the regulatory and support processes for the safe and effective deployment of self-driving vehicles in Singapore. In particular, he is involved in the following for Autonomous Vehicles (AV’s).

> Driving behaviour standards
> Cybersecurity standards

Prior to joining NTU he gained a wide range of Traffic Engineering experience, working in industry and government. This included delivery of traffic modelling assessments, intelligent transport systems, and urban traffic schemes.

Mushab Zakaria is the head of Engineering Design section in CTRM Aero Composites Sdn. Bhd. who is supervising a team of engineers to design and analyze structures for use in the production of composite parts. Mushab has been using MSC Software for the past five years, starting with MSC Patran and Nastran, to assess structures such as metallic tools, supporting equipment, and composite parts for their structural integrity. Now, Mushab and his team are expanding their capability through the multi-discipline solvers and user environments of MSC Software such as Adams, Easy5 and SC-Tetra to carry out more comprehensive analyses on any particular system on the production floor.

Daniel is a graduate of SDE, NUS, with the research interest in harnessing environmental simulation and 3D visualization to solve issues related to the urban and built environment. These pertinent issues involved heat and air pollutants and thermal comfort for both indoor and outdoor spaces. All these issues become increasingly critical as we face a future with more aging population and increasingly hotter climate.
